Rex Orange County brought his Exclusive Asia Show to Manila in 2026. See concert photos, setlist, highlights, and tips for visiting MOA Arena.
Rex Orange County finally made his way back to Manila for an exclusive Asia show, bringing his indie-pop sound and a setlist filled with songs that fans have grown up with.
Held at the Mall of Asia Arena on August 20, 2026, the concert was a mix of familiar favorites, newer songs, and those quieter moments that make Rex Orange County's music feel a little more personal. I didn't take a ton of photos during this one, but I managed to get a few shots that captured the atmosphere of the show.

About the show
Rex Orange County brought his exclusive Asia show to Manila for a night of indie-pop, soulful melodies, and plenty of familiar songs.
The Manila set included tracks from across his discography, including Pluto Projector, Loving Is Easy, Sunflower, and Best Friend, along with songs from The Alexander Technique.
The night also featured Filipino acts Over October and MAKI as opening acts before Rex took the stage.
From the photos I managed to take, the show had a lot of darker blue and purple lighting, with wide shots of the arena and the stage screens adding to the overall atmosphere. Most of my photos ended up being wider views rather than close-ups, which actually gives a pretty good idea of what it looked like from the crowd.
The Setlist
The Manila show featured a pretty good mix of Rex Orange County favorites and newer material, starting with Television and moving through songs like The Shade, Face to Face, Pluto Projector, and Loving Is Easy.

Concert Highlights
One of the things I liked about the show was how the lighting changed the look of the stage throughout the performance.
A lot of the photos I took were from farther back, so you can really see the full stage setup and the crowd rather than just the artist. There were plenty of blue and purple tones in the photos, with the stage screens showing different views of Rex during the performance.
There are also a few shots where Rex is standing alone at the front of the stage, surrounded by the lights and a sea of fans. Those ended up being some of my favorite photos because they capture just how big the arena looked from our side.
And then there are the wider shots that show the entire production and the audience. I usually try to get a mix of close-ups and wider concert photos, but I didn't take as many photos this time around. Still, I think these few shots tell the story pretty well.
Of course, Sunflower, Loving Is Easy, Pluto Projector, and Best Friend were some of the songs I was especially looking forward to hearing live, and having them all in the Manila set made the night feel very familiar.
A Few Notes...
This was actually the second time Rex Orange County had a show in Manila. After his 2023 show, coming back three years later felt like meeting an old musical friend again but this time in a much bigger room.
I think that's what I appreciate about his music. A lot of his songs don't feel like they're trying too hard to be grand. They're very relatable: about relationships, growing up, uncertainty, happiness, and all those little things that somehow end up becoming part of our own stories.
So when you hear Best Friend or Sunflower live and suddenly the entire arena is singing along, it isn't really just about Rex anymore. Everyone brings their own memories to those songs.
And maybe that's why the concert felt so warm despite the size of MOA Arena. I went in expecting a night of songs I already knew, but I left with a few more memories attached to them.
